"In the Classroom"

I'm afraid to say that I actually completed this on the fourth of July, but haven't been able to post until now. I've been on vacation. But on the fourth I actually had a Harry Potter marathons with some friends. We watched all four movies in a row! Yeah it was intense, and we did take an hour break for a walk. But it was super fun! That's when I did this double page spread. I don't think I've ever colored in a coloring book with so much detail before! But I was really happy with how it turned out in the end! But it's a shame... poor Neville is in the gutter!

"Through the Window"

A couple weeks ago my husband and I walked through Toys-r-us just for fun. I of course got excited about the coloring book section and found this sweet Harry Potter coloring book - 275 pages with a full bleed (no white borders) I was so excited! Especially because on July 4th we're going to a Harry Potter marathon, and I'm going to color through all four movies! So you should be seeing more where this came from.

"Flora, Fauna, and Merriweather"

These three fairies are my favorite part of Sleeping Beauty. I've always been partial to Fauna.... I love green!

"Sun Lovin'"

Momma Eggleston is in town! Yeah! She came like any good momma bearing gifts and she brought me this really neat vintage poster coloring book! Yeah!

"Dorothy and the Door Greeter"

I had fun practicing some back lighting on Dorothy on this picture. Design wise I also like how the red in the picture circulates from the guards pants to dorothy's hair and back to the stripe on the gaurds hat.

"Howdy"

For some reason whenever my dad answers the phone he says, "Howdy." I never really understood why... he's not a cowboy, he didn't grow up on a farm, and he's never even owned a pair of boots... When I was in Junior High and my dad would answer the phone, "Howdy!" I thought he was a dork, but now that I'm grown up, I just find it endearing! :)

"Vanity"

Good ol' Daisy. I actually have a pink robe similar to this one... and come to think of it a gold mirror too.... hmmmm.....

"The Seven"

How would you like to be named for your temperment? Just imagine what your name would be... dorky? clumsy? eager? proudly? hmm.....

"Balancing Act"

Isn't this little turtle cute? I like how bright the colors on the cups turned out, although I wish the shadows on the wall were a little darker.

"Snow White discovers she's outnumbered"

I had lots of fun actually having a light source in the picture this time. Sometimes I just wish I could get the crayons to go a litle darker so I could get more of a dramatic look.... oh well... I guess it's all apart of the crayola charm.
